Knowing About the Funding Program for Females
Like other Governments, UK
Government too gives grants to organizations for the welfare of the weaker
section of the society - the women. These grants are not given directly to the
individuals, but these are sent to certain organizations which help the needy
by these grants. Here is a certain know how about these grants –

Grant Distribution - To reach out to maximum number
of females, the government sends grants to organizations working in different
sectors such as the schools, the housing providers, non-profit organizations,
local businesses, tribal and local governments etc. These organizations on
their part find the people who need these grants through their applications and
then help them.

Housing Needs - Grants are given to those who
need temporary housing assistance for facing sexual assault, domestic violence
etc. This kind of grant is provided by the government via its grants for
domestic violence coalitions and grants for battered women shelters. Those who fall in this category can apply for
grants if needed.

Health Care - As health care always remains on
top of all government agendas, the federal government too gives health care
great priority. Therefore government rolls out grants to various organizations
to help the females deal with their health issues. Certain organizations in
this way are – The National Community Centers of Excellence in Women’s Health,
The Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant, The Healthy Start
Initiative, The Cooperative Agreement for State Based Comprehensive Breast and
Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program etc.

Food Grants – Food grants are provided to the
needy via a certain organizations such as, WIC Farmer’s Market Nutrition
Program (FMNP), Infants and Children Commodity Supplemental Food Program,
Special Supplement Nutrition Program for Women etc. These grants can be availed
by the low income pregnant women, nursing moms and their children. They are
provided help in the form of locally grown fruits and vegetables counseling
about nutrition etc.

Grants For Business – These grants are for the
business women through organizations such as The Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises Short Term Lending Program, The Micro Loan Demonstration Program,
The Women’s Business Ownership Assistance program etc.

Discrimination – Women are also provided grants
to fight against injustice done to them in their respective organizations where
they are working.
Thus, the Federal government
provides grants to females to strengthen them and help them. The need is to
write to the correct organizations to avail those grants in the proper time.
